On November 15, 2023, Johannes Gutenberg University Mainz (JGU) is organizing a digital internship fair for international students interested in an internship in Germany from 4 to 7 pm. This "Internship Fair" aims to bring together students from nine European universities cooperating within the FORTHEM Alliance with companies interested in foreign interns (also without German language skills) or offering internships in English. Participation will also be open to all students of the University of Mainz. The language of the event is English and participation is also free of charge for the companies.
This year's internship fair focuses on "Natural Sciences" and consists of two parts:
First, each of the maximum of six companies/organizations presents itself and its own field of activity or internship opportunities in short presentations of maximum 7 to 10 minutes in the plenum. Afterwards, the students can get into an exchange with the company representatives in break-out rooms. The first part lowers the inhibition threshold for the students and simplifies the subsequent contact - they have already seen and heard the company representatives. At the same time, the discussions can be more targeted because important information is already available.
Is your company or organization interested in English-speaking interns and would you like to participate on November 15?
Do you have questions about the event? Then please contact the Career Service of the University of Mainz, which organizes the fair:
